DYHA/ICE CATS Hockey Office Leadership Team

The Darien Youth Hockey Association (DYHA) board is excited to announce the formation of a new leadership team to build upon our success and enhance our programs for future generations.

Coming together as the Hockey Office to lead DYHA/Ice Cats are:

Pat, Mike, Pete, Kendall & John will work in collaboration to deliver strategic guidance for the future direction of the program, while establishing ongoing curriculums focused on hockey skills and athletic development for DYHA/Ice Cats players and goalies. All five will report to the DYHA Board of Directors.

Many of these individuals have long ties to DYHA and are known to us all. Pat and Mike both started as players as young kids within the program. All have distinguished playing and coaching careers with the Association, impacting the lives of thousands of kids, and they bring great passion to our program.

The formation of the “Hockey Office” is the culmination of a multi-month search process for paid hockey directors for DYHA/Ice Cats. The search garnered significant interest from internal and external candidates, from as far as Canada, Colorado to Florida, a testament to the history, strength and prominence of the DYHA/Ice Cats program. The board thanks all that showed interest in taking on these new roles, especially our current coaches.

We strongly believe this new leadership team will help DYHA/Ice Cats strengthen our commitment to striking the right balance between striving to be among the most competitive program in our respective leagues, attracting the strongest coaches and retaining our strongest players, while remaining true to our commitment of being a closed program with a long-term commitment to our kids.
