Andrew Gore returns to DYHA as PW A Assistant Coach

The DYHA is pleased to announce that Andrew Gore will be a full time assistant coach with his older brother, Pat, on the PeeWee A team for the 2017 – 2018 season.

For those that don’t know Andrew he grew up playing at DYHA through Bantams and then played his Midget years at Southern and West Haven alongside his St. Joseph High School teammates.

At DYHA, Andrew was a member of the Squirt A and PeeWee A teams as well as the Bantam A1 team before leaving his second year of Bantams to join the St. Joe’s squad. Andrew is especially excited to join the PeeWee A team as he has fond memories of his ’06 –’07 PW A team which was undefeated in CHC play and won the CHC D2 state tourney as well as the New England Regionals.

While at St. Joes, Andrew was a four year letterman as a defenseman and was named Captain his Senior year when he was also named to the CIAC Division 1 All-State team and the All-FCIAC team.  As a member of St. Joe’s, Andrew played in the CIAC Division 2 state final his freshman year, in the FCIAC and CIAC Div 1 State finals his sophomore year and the FCIAC finals his senior year.

Andrew graduated this year from Nichols College where he played club hockey for four years and varsity tennis for two years. While this will be his first coaching stint with DYHA, he has worked extensively with Blueline Academy at their clinics and camps over the years under the tutelage of Jamie Tropsa and, of course, brother Pat.

We are extremely pleased to have Andrew join DYHA's coaching ranks and look forward to his coaching contributions in the years to come.  If you wish to contact Andrew he can be reached at .

If you have any questions about Andrew or the PeeWee A’s upcoming season please contact or , DYHA Co-Travel Directors.
