Non-Registered Players:Players from outside the DYHA program who are not currently registered with the organization, but during the course of travel tryouts demonstrate abilities that rank among the top player candidates may be offered a position on a travel team. Non-registered player recommendations will be determined by the “A” team coach(s) and the Hockey Policy Committee of the DYHA Board and must receive full Board approval. The DYHA board may authorize the rostering of up to two Non-registered players per season at the Squirt level and reserves the right to not accept Non-registered players at this level. Squirt aged players attempting to gain Non-registered status will only compete for an “A” team position and must demonstrate skill levels which rank them among the top prospects for that team. At the Pee Wee and Bantam levels the DYHA Board may elect to take 3 Non-registered skaters and one Non-registered goalie per season. While the process is similar as that described above, the “A” team will have the option to roster 2 Non-registered players, one of which may be a minor aged player. The “A1” team may elect to roster one first year player. One Non-registered goalie may be rostered by the “A” team. If there are no cuts at tryouts for a given team, the restrictions regarding Non-registered players may not apply. DYHA also reserves the right to not roster any Non-registered players for any given team if the perceived skill comparison during tryouts warrants it. This decision will be at the sole discretion of the DYHA coaching staff and the DYHA Hockey Policy Committee.
Financial Aid: The DYHA is able to make some full or partial financial aid grants to qualified new and returning hockey players in the program. Assistance can be in the form of both scholarships and payment plans. If you need assistance paying your registration fees and/or travel supplements, click here to complete a Financial Aid Application. For Financial Aid FAQs, click here. Financial Aid Applications must be received by the April 15th deadline.

The number is twelve characters long, with nine digits and the first five letters of the player’s name. To register with USA Hockey, click here.
