RETURNING PLAYERS OR MINI MITES WITH A 2012 BIRTH YEAR
 
The DYHA Registration Process entails the following:

Due to the early registration with DYHA and the fact that USA Hockey registrations will not be available until Apr 1, we are not requiring a new USA Hockey number during the initial registration process.  Registrants will need to register with USA Hockey after Apr 1, and update their DYHA registration page.

Online registration for the upcoming season is a two step process which requires all players to (1) register online with USA Hockey and (2) register online with Darien Youth Hockey Association.
 
Returning player registration for players intending to tryout for a travel team begins Mar 13 and ends March 22, 2017This deadline will be strictly enforced so that we can begin to let players in off the waitlist and complete DYHA’s current year registration process.  NOTE: Given the growth of our program (900+ players), we will not be contacting players who do not re-register by March 22nd. We have an extensive waitlist at all ages/levels. If you do not re-register by March 22nd you are at risk of losing your position in DYHA. Returning players registering after the March 22nd deadline will be placed on the waitlist and will incur a $100 late fee upon acceptance off the waitlist. 
 
Returning player registration for House players begins April 7, 2017 and ends April 17th
This deadline will be strictly enforced so that we can begin to let players in off the waitlist and complete DYHA’s current year registration process.  NOTE: Given the growth of our program (900+ players), we will not be contacting players who do not re-register by April 12th. We have an extensive waitlist at all ages/levels. If you do not re-register by April 12th you are at risk of losing your position in DYHA. Returning House players registering after the April 30th deadline will be placed on the waitlist and will incur a $100 late fee upon acceptance off the waitlist. 
 
Online registration is only for returning players  (returning players are players who played mini mites, house or travel at DYHA during the previously completed season. 
 
NEW PLAYERS TO THE PROGRAM OLDER THAN 2012 BIRTH YEAR
 
If your child was born before 2012 and did not play on a DYHA team last season you need to complete and submit a Waitlist Application (found in the Register Online tab).Waitlist applicants are not authorized to proceed with the below DYHA registration process until contacted by a DYHA representative indicating that your child has cleared the waitlist. If a waitlist applicant proceeds with DYHA’s online registration process, any DYHA registration fee that has been paid will be refunded less all DYHA credit card and bank processing fees. Once the returning player registration process is completed, waitlist applicants will be contacted by a DYHA representative. If your child clears the waitlist, you can proceed with the below USA Hockey Registration and register with DYHA using the link provided upon your acceptance into the program.    
 
 
 
ALL RETURNING PLAYERS AND MINI MITES please follow the below instructions (as well as supporting instructions within USA Hockey and DYHA’s online registration programs) to insure you have appropriately complete the registration process.
 
STEP 1
 
USA Hockey Registration
All players must be registered with USA Hockey for the new hockey season prior to registering with DYHA. Note that USA Hockey’s season runs from September 1, 2016 – August 31, 2017. This means that all players must re-register with USA Hockey each season. Specifically, your USA Hockey card and confirmation number from last season is not sufficient to re-register for the upcoming season. The new season’s numbers will be available from USA Hockey starting April 1.
 
To complete USA Hockey’s online registration you should go to USA Hockey’s website www.usahockey.com and complete the Online Member Registration process. Be sure you are registering for ICE hockey for the upcoming hockey season. Have your credit card available as you will be required to make a credit card payment to USA Hockey to complete your online registration process. This payment is for USA Hockey and CHC (CT Hockey Conference) fees. 
 
Once you have successfully completed USA Hockey’s registration process you will be instructed to print and save a confirmation page. (They will also email you a confirmation page for your records.)
 
Note that completion of the USA Hockey registration process does NOT guarantee membership in any local program or placement on a team. You need to complete steps two and three below in order to complete your registration with DYHA and thus ensure all USA Hockey member benefits are in effect.
 
 
STEP 2
Complete DYHA’s Online Registration Found at www.dyha.com
 
All amounts outstanding from the previous season must be paid in full prior to completing the below process. Any payments made as part of the below online registration process will be applied to outstanding balances from last season and your new season registration will not be considered complete until the full amount of the previous season's fees have been paid.
 
Now proceed to www.dyha.com and complete the online registration which can be found on the homepage – Online Registration tab. Have a copy of your USA Hockey confirmation page available as you will need to input the 14 digit USA Hockey Confirmation Number so that DYHA can complete the player’s registration and roster the player to a DYHA team. All players must be registered separately and need to have separate USA Hockey confirmation numbers.
 
Please have your credit card available as you will be required to make a credit card payment for the current year registration fee (mini mites is usually a lesser amount) per player in order to complete your DYHA registration. Payments can be made using American Express, MasterCard or Visa (except for VISA REWARDS Cards). If you do not have an AMEX, MasterCard or Visa, please contact DYHA’s Treasurer, Mary Jo Dyer, at  . Customer service questions/issues for payment processing should be directed to the Treasurer.
